The adult Partial Hospital Program provides an effective option for the patient who urgently needs daily treatment without the need for 24-hour care. In addition, the program can ease the transition from acute inpatient care to home or family. Our program offers immediate and daily access to a safe, structured treatment environment without disruption to family and daily life. The program is designed to assist in restoring individuals to their highest possible level of functioning, to help cultivate the skills necessary to maintain that level of functioning and to help them learn to live more satisfying and productive lives. Most patients are admitted for the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety disorders, chronic suicidal ideation, personality disorders or issues pertaining to family/interpersonal conflicts.
The primary method of treatment consists of process-oriented and educational group sessions. These small groups allow for in-depth analysis of specific issues, while providing the opportunity to find support from other individuals facing similar challenges. Our staff utilizes a variety of treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral, dialectical behavioral, family systems, and other evidence-based therapies. While each day is spent primarily in group therapy, individual and family therapy sessions facilitated by our professional staff are also key components of programming. Partial hospital patients will also interact daily with their psychiatrist to help manage medication issues.
