HCA Midwest Health System, Kansas City’s largest healthcare provider and private sector employer, has appointed Lisa J. St. Aubyn as Chief Executive Officer of Research Psychiatric Center, a campus of Research Medical Center. St. Aubyn replaces retiring CEO Richard Failla. Research Medical Center is part of HCA Midwest Health System. Research Psychiatric Center is one of the largest providers of behavioral healthcare services in the Greater Kansas City Metropolitan area and one of the few comprehensive inpatient facilities.
St. Aubyn is responsible for the 100-bed Research Psychiatric Center in addition to a 25-bed inpatient service at Research Medical Center, two outpatient clinics located in Missouri and a 10- bed GeroPsych unit at Cass Regional Medical Center.
St. Aubyn is a veteran behavioral health executive who brings a rich strategic, operational, clinical and marketing background, along with leadership skills, to Research Psychiatric Center. She Joined HCA in 2013 as Regional Vice President for HCA Behavioral Division, responsible for 10 different behavioral health programs in the North and West Florida divisions.
Prior to that St. Aubyn was Vice President of Operations, Behavioral Health at Horizon Health in Lewisville, Texas where she was responsible for the implementation, management, retention and expansion of contracts at assigned hospitals. During her tenure, St. Aubyn successfully managed contracts in multiple markets across the U.S., with 98 percent retention of assigned programs over two years, and spearheaded expansion of services in multiple locations.

St. Aubyn’s well-regarded career also includes experience in private behavioral health practice, CEO/COO and Director of Residential Treatment and Director of Clinical Services at CPC College Meadows Hospital in Lenexa and outpatient therapist at Heart of America Family Services in Kansas City, Kansas. St. Aubyn received a Bachelor of Social work degree from the School of Social Welfare at the University of Kansas where she also earned her Master of Social Work degree.
